ADJUSTMENT PERIOD

You may feel some discomfort during the adjustment period, which is completely normal. The adjustment period to get proper alignment can be 2 to 3 weeks. This is to be expected because you will be training muscles to a new pattern. Some discomfort means BackShield is actually working to create your new healthy posture. The more you use your BackShield the more you will be reinforcing the proper posture and creating a healthy back. Give it some time and you will reach that “ahhh” moment. HOW DO I INSTALL BACKSHIELD?

It’s easy.

Slide the top strap over the top of your seat—or, depending on you seat’s design, pull it up and around in a more diagonal direction. The key is to secure it by getting it snugly around your seat, since the top strap keeps BackShield flush, and that’s key to BackShield’s performance. Adjust BackShield as necessary so it’s as flat and straight as possible against your seat and appropriately positioned for your torso length. Bring the “male” end of the bottom strap around to the back of the seat to meet the “female” end. Insert the male end until you hear and feel the ends click together. Pull the strap to adjust necessary to keep BackShield tight flush against the seat. Hop in, fire up the engine, and get where you’re going in comfort and style.

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN BACKSHIELD?

Our BackShield shouldn’t need a lot of maintenance. Its durable outer skin resists staining from perspiration and other sources. But when you do want to give BackShield a quick refresh, just wipe it down with a damp towel. Or, for more serious cleaning, use your favorite household cleaning product—BackShield won’t discolor or absorb water. BackShield’s smooth sleek design makes it a breeze to wipe down, with no nooks or crannies to collect dirt and grime.
